Top Toddler Books

We had a little free time today so, we decided to hit up our local Books A Million.

bam

We walked in and my toddler knew exactly where to go. He was ten steps ahead of me, almost racing to the kids’ book section. After filling our basket, dumping it, and filling it again…about 4 times, we finally slimmed down our choices to what I feel are some really amazing, toddler friendly books. BONUS* I also used my Shopular app to get $5 off a $25 purchase!

We’re always trying to choose easy reads for bedtime, for ourselves ;). Getting your kid to choose a book that’s not 100 pages long with about 200 words on each page can be pretty difficult. They know exactly what’s going down when you tuck them into bed nice and tight and grab a slim book.”Oh no, they’re choosing THAT one?! No, no, NOOOOOOOO. I want the thick, long, Β gigantic, never-ending, book, in the very back of the book shelf that they always try to hide! THAT ONEEEEE!!!” Nine times out of ten we cave, because we love them and because let’s face it, it’s pretty awesome that they want to read so young!

This short list gives a happy medium for toddlers and parents participating in bedtime reading, or really, anytime reading!

books

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

If You Give A Mouse A Cookie

Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?

Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?

Goodnight Moon

Disney 5 Minutes Stories or Marvel 5 Minute Stories

Some of these I remember from when I was a little one. Chicka Chicka Boom Boom was on every book case in my elementary school and so was Goodnight Moon, If You Give A Mouse A Cookie (My personal fav.), and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? We also love all of the Disney 5 Minute Story books. They have a ton of character varieties with 12 stories in each. We have two of the Disney Pixar versions and just added the Marvel Superheros one to our collection today!

Let me know in the comments below what your toddlers’ favorite reads are!

Thanks for checking in!

  1. Lol, you made me laugh. They always go for the books that are a million pages long. I’m going to admit, there’s has been times when I try and skip pages and they catch on and tell me, “mom wait, you skipped a page”.
Those were some of my favs too. I love reading them books from my childhood.

    1. Yes! I’m so glad to hear I’m not the only one skipping pages! πŸ˜‰ my little one loves comic books too but they’re deff above his age group so we get them but I make up the entire story as I read it! Haha he has no clue!
