Get Naked!

With the Holidays approaching and the dry weather that comes along with it, I just HAD to share a couple of my favorite naked skin, skin care products! Yes, I said naked skin! By this, I don’t just mean a bare hiney without clothes on, I mean our bare, naked SKIN. It’s the largest organ of our entire bodies and one of the most delicate and sensitive. Don’t you want to know how to care for it in a way that is healthy?! These all natural products smell amazing and are so luxurious that I just don’t know what I am going to do once I run out! ….”Honey?!”

Alright so, the first item on my list, is this super smoothing Spiced Chai Scrub! I have been WAITING ever so patiently to write and publish this post so that i could finally, really, use it! I took a little dab here and there because I just couldn’t help myself and of course needed to try it before I share with all of you!

Next, on my agenda is the Candy Cane Foaming Scrub, which, was also featured in my Sweater Weather Must Haves video! I love these scrubs from Naked Bar Soap Co. because they’re gentle but exfoliate enough to rid the dead skin that forms during the holiday season! Snatch this up at a super low price with my coupon code!

Alright, now to my prized possession! If you know me, you probably know that I suffer from pretty extreme anxiety, and most of it comes from being an undiagnosed hypochondriac. I am always looking for natural ways to help prevent anything that can go wrong with my body. Which, leads me to this little story before sharing this amazing product that I love!…

Sitting in my little one’s Dr.’s appointment last week, I overheard something really interesting on the TV they had playing, that I had never really thought of before but, made total sense! Did you know that antiperspirants, the chemically made deodorants with all the scents and pretty perfumes, may increase your risk for breast cancer?! I’m no expert but, I thought about it and realized, it makes total sense! These glands in our pits are super sensitive and very exposed due to shaving. We cover them and fill them with these rose scented, chemical filled sticks. I looked it up when I got home just to see if I could find a bit more info. and this is what I got from WebMD:

“Most antiperspirant worries center on the active ingredient — an aluminum-based compound that temporarily plugs the sweat ducts and prevents you from perspiring. Typically, antiperspirants are coupled with a deodorant, which contains the pleasant scent that stops you from stinking. They may also contain a number of inactive ingredients. A few studies in recent years have theorized that aluminum-based antiperspirants may increase the risk for breast cancer. According to the authors of these studies, most breast cancers develop in the upper outer part of the breast — the area closest to the armpit, which is where antiperspirants are applied. The studies suggest that chemicals in antiperspirants, including aluminum, are absorbed into the skin, particularly when the skin is nicked during shaving. These studies claim that those chemicals may then interact with DNA and lead to cancerous changes in cells, or interfere with the action of the female hormone estrogen, which is known to influence the growth of breast cancer cells.”

The scent I have is the tea tree essential oil and it smells incredible! But, Naked Bar Soap Co. has a new scent which, I can’t wait to get my hands on: Lemongrass/Spearmint essential Oil Blend!
