We just arrived home from visiting Florida’s Treasure Coast! We loved it SO much, we almost considered packing and moving down south permanently! You guys all know how much we love adventure and that boys seek new experiences and memories at every turn so, this trip was one for the books! We were so charmed and busy with all that Jupiter, Fl has to offer so, to keep you and your littles busy on your trip down to SoFl grab this bucket list of everything to do while in Jupiter with kids!!
Jupiter Lighthouse Museum
We always love lighthouse museums but, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Museum has been one of our favorite to date! It’s located right on the inlet with a small beach type area where you can sit for a picnic and watch the boats pass through! The grounds have a main check-in building, an old home with a garden and outhouse built by the local boy scouts, and a trail that leads up to a deck covered by oak trees right below the lighthouse itself!
Loggerhead Marinelife Center
The LMLC is a facility that works to rehabilitate threatened and injured sea turtles from offshore! You’ll see different species of sea turtles in their rehabilitation pools, a small play area for the littles, and a museum with skeletons, beach collections, and more!! Admission here is by donation, an amount of your choosing! We were SO lucky to have a behind the scenes tour (check it out HERE!) and were super excited to hear of their plans to expand in 2019!
Jonathan Dickinson State Park
Here you’ll find a quiet touch of tranquility in this upbeat town! Take a walk on the multi-purpose trail, check out the view from Hobe Mountain Tower (the tallest point in South Florida), bring the bikes along or rent a few for the bike trail, learn about natural and historical resources within the park at the education center, or take in the scenery from the tour boat on the Loxahatchee River!
Blowing Rocks Preserve
This was one of our favorites! The boys could run and play as long as they wanted! During low tide, the rocks you see below are high above the water and looks like it’s straight out of The Little Mermaid! Low tide is JUST as beautiful and to see the waves crash on the rocks near sunset is incredibly serene! Make sure to bring water shoes along!
Busch Wildelife Sanctuary
With their rehabilitation programs and educational, hands-on encounters, Busch Wildlife is a favorite of locals for their incredible wildlife, up close and personal. Here, you’ll meet opossums, black bears, panthers, jaguars, otters, bobcats, and more all in natural habitats! Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is funded solely by donations! Make sure to stop in with a donation of your choice to see all of the impact BWS has on the community!
Hop on down to Jupiter, Fl with your babes and relax your mind while the salt blows in your hair and sand fills between your toes! Check off these amazing experiences for some of the best family memories you’ll ever have!
