We checked off another family adventure last week and couldn’t wait to share all of the amazing things about our first stop in south Florida! Rewind to last Saturday when we headed out with our sites set on Delray Sands Resort: where the beach is beautiful, the air is salty, and the food will make you feel like royalty!
Delray Sands Resort is in Highland Beach, Fl (right smack between Delray Beach and Boca Raton) and unlike other hotels in the area, DSR is literally right on the beach! Yep, wake up and roll over to waves crashing and oceanfront views!
Not only is the staff incredibly friendly and welcoming but, they really treated us as if we were moving in for good from day one! We love a resort that offers great valet service and ease when unloading and loading our luggage and the boys in and out of the car! A valet that’s on point can really set the stage when traveling and starting your stay!
Once we checked in, we were SO ready to hit the beach and oceanfront pool! I mean, come on-it was 72 degrees in December and we had JUST met Santa that morning! What could be better?! We love when a resort doesn’t charge for their beach chair rentals and being that we were spending three days here on an almost empty beach, this was a HUGE plus! They really know how to take care of their guests at Delray Sands, even when you’re sifting your toes through the sand on the beach below!
The dining here at DSR was phenomenal! Their top notch dining spot, Latitudes, had a menu full of delicious seafood options and amazing selections for the boys! We love when a resort offers several dining locations and Delray Sands gave us the option to eat from the menu at either the bar, inside the restaurant lined with glass windows, on the beachfront patio, or the poolside patio! We of course dined at all locations during our stay!
Beyond the service, food, and breezy beachfront views, my favorite thing about Delray Sands Resort was the amount of pools they offer their guests! A resort that has more than one pool for their visitors is always fun, especially when you’re staying for more than a night or two and have three boys in tow! Just below our room was a more private pool that K and I visited several times and for Linc, we spent a TON of time in the small kids’ pool on the main pool deck! We also wrapped up the nights as a family dipping our feet in the lit up, bright blue hot tub! (Can you say Avatar IRL?!)
This spot is PERFECT for a family vacay to recharge and reconnect!
The smoked salmon benedict was so good that James ordered it every morning for breakfast!
