For Mother’s Day this year, give me all the boys

For Mother’s Day this year, give me all the boys I can barely handle, a Mickey bar, and the sunshine ☀️! I hope you’ve had an awesome weekend!! We kicked it at our favorite place for finding magic, @waltdisneyworld with a night at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort! 🙌🏻

Wanna have fun at the resort without the park tickets?!

•Check out my friend Tina’s video from Banana Cabanas and grab yourself the Pineapple Coconut Bread Pudding poolside that she shared! @a.magical.life.for.me (This sweet treat sparked our whole trip!)

•Ride the Sky Liner from CBR to the Boardwalk/Epcot! No park pass or reservation needed!

•Walk the Boardwalk & grab a sweet treat!

•Take the friendship boat from the Boardwalk to Hollywood Studios and ride the Sky Liner back to CBR!

•Splash at the pirate ship at the main pool at CBR!

•Watch the Movie Under the Stars!

•Walk or take the Sky Liner to Disney’s Riviera Resort for a free tour of the DVC villas!

•Take a bus to The Grand Floridian or The Contemporary and ride the monorail!

Today we celebrated Mother Earth’s birthday the best way we knew how. We spent the entire day outside! We breathed in all of her fresh air, ran through her dirt & soil, splashed in her rain puddles, and watched as her sky changed from soft yellows to deep blues. All I can say is, “thank you for being so wonderful,” and...the boys are going to sleep good tonight! 🤞🏻🙌🏻

✨We let our kids have a YES day!✨. VLOG. I know, I thought we were crazy too 😂😂! If you watched my stories, you‘ve seen bits & pieces of our day...but even this full length video, isn’t everything! We had such a great day letting the boys choose our adventures!

The No.1 asked question: How did you/did you have to say “no?” Nope!

To keep from bogging down our day with no’s and frustration, we set a few rules the morning of! Just some simple yet, clear guidelines:

1. No screen time- We weren’t saying “yes” to YES day just to let them choose playing on tablet or having a TV free-for-all all day so, this was the first rule.

2. Spending limit- We told them how much we would be okay with saying “yes” to, spending wise. This also came with a stipulation: we’re not spending on toys, only activities & food! It’s a YES day. Not a “buy junk, eat bad food, & have screen time” kind of day!

3. Nothing dangerous or against the law-lol I feel like this is obvious & also laughable but, for one of our kids...it had to be said. 😂

✨STRETCH MARKS ✨For years I struggled with my stretch marks showing. I only wore one piece swim suits, put a hard pass on crop tops and tied tees, and to this day have a closet that’s home to strictly high waisted jeans. Over time though, I’ve grown to slowly accept my body as it is in whatever it is I want to wear. Sinking and stretched belly button, scarred tummy, and wrinkled thighs...those are parts of my body I never felt confident enough to expose. It’s because of this community that I’ve been able to overcome this irrational fear of not being accepted or liked online because of how my body looks. With each “yes girl” and “this makes me less self conscious about my own body” comment paired with filling my feed of body positive creators/artists, I become more and more accepting of my own skin. It has become SO freeing. I don’t feel as trapped as I once was and I owe that to all of you! ♥️ THANK YOU 🙌🏻

Loss is never easy but, I’m beginning to feel it’s harder as an adult because no parent is taught how to help their child cope through grief. We’re starting our healing process with being present during our family time, social media breaks, and lots of neighborhood walks full of sunshine. ☀️

With the current state of our now long-term pantry

With the current state of our now long-term pantry renovation, for the last 13 weeks weekends have meant spending as much time away from home as possible. We spend time out so the boys aren’t getting in the way of the work being done or risking exposure to the saw dust. It also means A LOT more close hugs and carries for our youngest boys and hand holds for the oldest. It’s the time we have together each week when we’re creating really treasured memories. No pre planning i’s ever involved. James is usually buckling the boys into their seats while I run around the house collecting whatever I see laying around that might come in handy for our day...swim suits, extra pants, a sweater for our kid who’s always cold. To be completely honest, I love it that way. The spontaneity adds to the excitement and somehow seems to get us on the road quicker 🙌🏻 I love these days. We get up early, we’re on the road to who knows where, and we come home ready to crash. They’re the best days!
