Disney hangovers are 100% real. 😂 Give me all the pedialyte and bandaids for total recovery from the heat and blisters. Yesterday was our first day in the Walt Disney World parks as a family of 6! 🙌🏻 We rope dropped, park hopped, rode the ferries, friendship boats, and monorails, double downed on a few rides, made a park visit to Epcot just for Frozen before dinner, and somehow had the strength to carry all of the boys upstairs to bed at 10:55 last night.

Disney favorites & must haves 👇🏻

✨ These first magical moments with Deck (swipe to see & hear him quietly say “hi” to Mickey & Minnie like he was the only one having a conversation with them 🥰.) This was hands down a favorite yesterday!

✨ Sitting back and watching our older boys age into solo riding. Watch it happen, it’s really magical when it does & super freaking cool. Col rode almost everything solo yesterday or with Ken. It was awesome. A little heartbreaking but, also just really cool.

✨ The bathrooms behind Gaston’s Tavern for a place to relax in the shade, go potty, and break for a snack.

✨ Packing cube with swim suits and changes of clothes for a midday refresh.

✨ Fanny pack! Even with a backpack, I carry a Fanny when we have all of the kids in tow and are going for a long day. I keep the day essentials in my backpack but, the Fanny is home to money, phone, keys, coins for the penny press machines, Tylenol, pacifier, hand sanitizer, back up camera battery, etc. A lot of stuff fits in a Fanny pack & they’re incredibly convenient when your hands are already full!

✨ Bring your own hand sanitizer. The auto pumps aren’t always easy to use so, keep some with you!

✨ Bandaids. I don’t care how comfortable you think your shoes are. Bring bandaids lol I’ve worn these same shoes for a day in the park before & never had an issue...not yesterday. Take it from the girl who hobbled to first aid for 3 bandaids.

Can you tell we’re drenched here?! We got rained out on our last day in Miami. At first, I felt like I needed to be frustrated and annoyed because I had only envisioned white sandy beaches and suntanned boys for our vacation in the months leading up to it but, things didn’t go as planned. We were handed more than our fair share of raw parenting moments in the days of our short lived trip and got rained out on the South Beach strip. For a few minutes, I was honestly irritated but, with a gentle tap and reminder of the wonderful things of the world and motherhood, my perspective was changed.

By chance, we came across a sign labeled, “Holocaust Memorial ➡️.” If you’ve been around here for some time, you know how invested our oldest is in history, especially the era of WWII. With our beach plans cancelled and feeling lost in a sea of single people even younger than us, we knew visiting the memorial would really make Col’s day and reset our plans. It’s the most beautiful memorial. The quietness and lists upon lists of names honoring those lost, was deafening. The sculptures with such detail in their aching faces were enough to remind me that a little rain on a family vacation we’re so lucky to have, is something to only be thankful for. These are the moments I’m reminded that “perfect” in life is not always what we envision. Perfect beauty is only what we perceive it to be, as a perfect vacation is one that bring joy, happiness, and creates everlasting memories no matter how you find it. A reminder to you friend, to find the greatness in the unexpected moments. ♥️

✨TRAVEL POST✨ After almost 10 hours total in the car on Monday, a full day at @zoomiami, then snorkeling in Key Largo, and feeding fish bigger than our oldest kid at @robbiesofislamorada, James said he was picking our spot for dinner, no questions asked. It’s been years since I’ve been down to the keys so I held back the fight and let him pick without my input. It was AMAZING. The vibe, location, and food was more than I expected and was a perfect cherry on top of an incredible day! It felt like we were at a destination a lot farther than 6 hours from home! We don’t often like to GO GO GO when we’re on vacation but Monday it just felt right. The kids passed out in the two hour car ride up to the hotel and we checked in holding them in our arms. Traveling with four kids isn’t always (ever) easy but, having the ability to do so (thanks to all of you), is something I will never take for granted as a mom. ♥️

☀️ HEY YOU! Happy Friday! Things are finally looking up here weather wise so, we’re ecstatic to be back at the beach and prepping for our rescheduled vacay...FINALLY! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 We’re trying to pack light but, with a baby and a family of 6, it isn’t easy 😂 I’m cramming everything into a single suitcase and carefully planning our road trip necessities! Are you a light packer or more like a ‘take everything but the kitchen sink’ kinda traveler?!

How many times in the last six months have you looked in the mirror and said, “I LOVE HER?” If you’re like me, it’s a number very close to 👌🏻. We often forget to see ourselves for how beautiful we truly are. For all the things our bodies have done for us and our families. We are fogged by expectations of styled hair, the “perfect” weight, toned butts, great contouring, and an awesome lash lift. We’re always in a state of comparison with ourselves and who we WANT to be or how we want to look. You ARE perfect just as you are. You are beautiful, worthy, and loved. Accept yourself for all that you see in your reflection and more. Love HER. Admire her. See the strength you have and the love that you give. Share that with who you see when you look in the mirror. She deserves it. ✌🏻♥️

What’s something that makes you feel good for an entire day?!

Heyyoooo. 🙋🏼‍♀️ Is it just me or did yesterday just completely throw off everyone’s week already?! I woke up this morning fully in the Monday mindset until James gave me the “it’s date night” wink. 😂😉

With the storm coming our way, we’re spending this first part of our week stocking the pantry, watching @weatherchannel, and cleaning up the yard...instead of sipping mock tails on a white sandy beach.
